Work-linked training at Agencement Paul Champs: Johann Tanguy, joiner

One of Agencement Paul Champs' values is the transmission of knowledge. That's why work-study students are welcomed into the workshop to benefit from the team's experience and know-how, and to train the carpenters of tomorrow.

Work-linked training, a pathway to training and professional integration

Agencement Paul Champs is committed to passing on its knowledge, particularly in order to be able to respond to projects requiring specific skills such as cabinet-making. Our team includes Compagnons du Devoir, the guarantors of traditional know-how. Our alliance with them also includes apprentice training. Our workshop continually takes on two apprentices in their first and second years.

An optimal learning environment

When our apprentices are present in the workshop, alternating with course periods, they are fully integrated into the team and given assignments. A mentor ensures that the apprentice acquires new skills throughout their time at Agencement Paul Champs, so that they are able to continue on their career path independently. Sharing experience is the common thread running through the work experience of our young craftsmen, whose presence also brings a great deal to our workshop.

Portrait of Johann Tanguy, work-linked trainee at Agencement Paul Champs

Johann, 19, is a student on a sandwich course as part of his BTS (advanced vocational diploma) in woodworking. In our workshop, he is learning joinery on a machining centre and also in the design office for periods of 3 weeks, alternating with 3 other weeks at school. Working in the workshop enables him to develop his technical skills, but also to learn to work independently or as part of a team, under the supervision of experienced craftsmen.
