CSR commitment: how Agencement Paul Champs makes the most of every scrap piece of wood

For the Agencement Paul Champs teams, wood plays a central role. A natural, durable and versatile material, it enables us to design reliable and aesthetically pleasing fittings. Because we work with this living material on a daily basis, we are committed to respecting it as much as possible. Our eco-responsible approach is reflected in the way we manage our offcuts and production waste.

An eco-responsible approach at the heart of the workshops

Optimise, reuse, recycle

Our aim is simple: to minimise waste and give materials a second use whenever possible. To achieve this, we optimise the cutting process right from the design stage, then ensure that waste is rigorously managed. Some materials, particularly solid wood, undergo special treatment so that they can be redirected to appropriate recycling channels.

What happens to scrap wood?

From sorting in the workshop to the recycler

Offcuts are first carefully sorted in our workshops. This stage enables us to distinguish between materials that can follow a dedicated recycling circuit, in conditions that comply with environmental standards.

Heading for Sweden: class B wood recycling

Particleboard and plywood follow a specific path: after collection, they are shredded and sent to a boiler plant in Sweden. They are then fed into the boiler plant, a process that gives them a new use, in line with the principles of sustainable development.

Reducing waste

By implementing rigorous management of wood residues, we are considerably limiting the amount of waste destined for recycling. It's a concrete way of reducing our impact on the environment while reinforcing a culture of material sobriety.

Our vision: design better while respecting resources

This reasoned management of materials is fully in line with Agencement Paul Champs' CSR vision. Our responsibility does not stop at the quality of our work: it also encompasses the way we consume resources, limit our impact and continually improve our practices to design in a more sustainable way, for the benefit of our customers and our region.

A responsible layout, from start to finish

At Agencement Paul Champs, every project is designed with the same commitment in mind: to produce sustainable furnishings while respecting the materials they are made from. Our CSR commitment is an integral part of this ambition, guided by the desire to move forward every day towards an increasingly responsible workshop.
