When maritime innovation meets excellence in interior design, the result is a project that stands out from the crowd. The Agencement Paul Champs team is proud to have contributed to the fitting out of the MSC World America, a new-generation cruise liner where top-of-the-range design meets the most stringent technical requirements.
A prestigious cruise ship: the MSC World America
The new flagship of MSC Cruises' World Class, the MSC World America stands out for its impressive dimensions and refined standards. Built in 2025 at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, this 333-metre-long, 47-metre-wide liner, with a tonnage of 216,638 GT, can accommodate up to 6,764 passengers and 2,138 crew spread over its 22 decks.
Designed for the North American market, it combines elegant European design with comfort: seven theme zones, 19 restaurants, 18 bars and lounges. On the leisure side, the family areas are packed with attractions: Cliffhanger, the only overwater swing at sea, water park, giant slides, sportplex, theatre, etc.
On the environmental front, the World America is powered by LNG, has a shoreside power system, wastewater treatment and recycling stations on board, and has won the Platinum Pearl award for its performance in health, safety and the environment.
3,000 m² of new space: an ambitious, controlled project
Over a year and a half in the making
The project took more than 18 months to complete, mobilising a dedicated team to monitor each phase of the fit-out. From receipt of the first plans to final approval of the installations, we worked closely with the architects and the shipyard to meet precise and ambitious expectations.
Technical coordination and compliance with naval requirements
Each space on board imposes specific constraints: integration into a floating structure, compliance with complex site schedules, coordination with other trades. Thanks to our experience in the maritime sector, we were able to anticipate the critical points and meet the deadlines.
Interior fittings in a maritime environment: unique expertise
Compliance with fire, vibration and humidity standards
As with every naval project, we have taken into account the most stringent maritime standards. All the materials used have been validated for their fire resistance, their resistance to humidity and their ability to absorb or accompany the ship's constant vibrations.
Noble materials, high-quality finishes
Wood, lacquers, technical textiles... Each material has been carefully selected to offer a top-of-the-range aesthetic finish while meeting structural and safety constraints. Careful attention to finish is one of the hallmarks of our workshops, and is reflected in every piece we make.
French expertise on the international stage
This prestigious project is testimony to the international reputation of our Brest-based company. Ship fitting is a field of excellence in which French expertise is recognised the world over. By taking part in fitting out a ship like the MSC World America, we are confirming our ability to work on the biggest projects in the sector.
Back in pictures: focus on our achievements
Made-to-measure tables, wall panelling, integrated seating, lighting effects and textures... The 3,000 m² of space we have created combines technical sophistication with refinement.
